Thoughtfully made, always.
Here, meaningful moments are thoughtfully crafted into pieces meant to be kept and cherished. Allora Always was created from the belief that what matters to us continues — in the memories we carry, the objects we hold, and the stories we cherish. Each piece is hand-made with care, intention, and respect for what matters most.

Allora is an Italian word often used to mean “and so” — a small pause in a conversation or story, when one moment gently leads into the next.
Allora Always is rooted in that idea of continuation. No matter what moment is being honored — a milestone reached, a season passed, or a memory held close — the pieces created are meant to continue alongside you, always.

Allora Always began in a very personal way, with my grandpa’s shirts.
After he passed, my family and I picked out a few of his shirts that reminded us of him. After everyone took a few, there were still many left. His shirts were especially soft, warm, and comforting, and I knew that instead of his clothes getting donated, I could turn them into something our family could hold onto, love, and eventually pass down over time.
That’s when I started making patchwork blankets.
Our family is large — he had three kids, seven grandkids, and one great-grandkid — and once I began making a few blankets, I started to worry that I might run out of shirts before I could make something for everyone. That’s when the idea for “Papa Bears” came to me. For the grandkids and great grandkid, the bears felt like a meaningful way to stretch the shirts a little further while still creating something comforting and familiar for each person.
Each piece was different and thoughtfully tailored to who was receiving it — whether it was based on a conversation we had while picking out shirts, a photo of him wearing a certain shirt with them, or even a t-shirt from my cousin’s band that he proudly kept.
As I continued creating, I began to see how meaningful it was to work with materials that already held so much history. Not long after, other family members, friends, and coworkers reached out and asked if I could make pieces from their loved ones’ shirts, baby clothes, pet items, or even regular materials to recreate something they had once had and loved.
What began as something deeply personal slowly grew into something I wanted to share with others. Over time, that path naturally became Allora Always.

I approach every piece with care and intention, taking time to understand what you’re hoping to create. Whether I’m working with sentimental materials or creating something new, my process is thoughtful, unhurried, and personal.
Each piece is made by hand, with close attention to detail and respect for what it represents. I believe meaningful items deserve patience, care, and a gentle approach — and that’s how I create every piece.

Alexa (Owner/Maker)

My name is Alexa, and I’m the owner and maker behind Allora Always. Everything you see here is made by me, by hand, one piece at a time.
I care deeply about the people I work with and the trust they place in me. My hope is that anyone who reaches out feels safe, heard, and comfortable sharing their ideas, feelings, and needs — whatever they may be.

I’m very family-oriented, and to me, family isn’t limited to blood. It’s the people we choose, the friends who feel like home, our fur babies, and the connections we build over time. I value kindness, individuality, and showing up for others with care.
I welcome and respect people of all different backgrounds, beliefs, and experiences. I’m always open to incorporating what matters to you — whether that’s culture, religion, traditions, or something uniquely personal. Every story is different, and I believe each one deserves to be honored in its own way.

I’ve spent many years working in healthcare, across hospitals and clinics, in both patient and staff support roles, and across several specialties. Being in those spaces taught me how to truly listen, move with patience, and care for people during moments that matter.
While I don’t have as many years of experience sewing as I do working in healthcare, I approach every piece with the same level of care and responsibility. When someone trusts me with their belongings, I treat them as if they were my own — gently, thoughtfully, and with respect for what they represent.
That combination of care, attention, and intention is what guides me through every project.

In addition to the memory pieces, creativity has always shown up in my life in many different ways. Over the years, I’ve made chunky crocheted blankets, garlands, wreaths, foam snowmen, and plenty of other projects simply because I enjoy creating with my hands.
I’m naturally curious and energized by learning new skills, trying new ideas, and taking on new projects. I enjoy figuring things out as I go and finding thoughtful ways to bring someone’s vision to life, especially when it’s meaningful or personal.

Giving back is extremely important to me. I regularly donate money to local charities, volunteer when I’m able, and have plans to donate handmade items as part of my work as well.
Whenever possible, I want the materials I work with to continue doing good. If there are leftover materials from a project, you’ll always have the option to have them returned to you, or to allow me to keep them for creating items that will be donated. If you choose the latter, you can feel confident knowing they’ll be used thoughtfully and for a good cause.
